Video Transfer to USB or DVD

It is personal preference. For future proofing we would recommend transferring to USB sticks. The USB stick can be plugged into your computer for viewing or directly into your smart TV. We can get multiple tapes onto 1 USB stick. Some people prefer DVD if they have a DVD player they are familiar with.

You can bring them to our office in Maidstone or you can post them to us. If delivering tapes please call beforehand to ensure someone is in the office. Contact details are below.

You can pay by cash, card, PayPal or bank transfer. We prefer card payments. If sending tapes by post we ask you not to send payment with your order unless agreed in advance. We will send you a link to pay online, a PayPal invoice or take card details over the phone.

The quality of the transfer depends on the quality of the original tape. There will be no discernible difference in quality. For optimum quality we put a maximum of 2 hours onto 1 DVD. This means a full 3 hour (E180) VHS tape will be split over two DVDs. For USB we split 3hr tapes over two mp4 files.

Not on the basic service. On the Premium service we can try and improve the audio level and apply video noise filters however we cannot absolutely guarantee any improvement

It depends on the quantity of tapes you want transferred and the service you require. On the Basic Service single tapes are normally done within 24 hours. The Premium Service can take up to two weeks.

We can transfer most tape formats eg VHS, Betamax, Video8, Hi8, miniDV etc and camcorder tapes. Contact us if you have any concerns
